Tanya Louise is a unique and versatile artist.  Though she has attained
a certain amount of success as a Dance music artist, she would never
pigeon hole herself as such.

Tanya has always had a love for music .  As a child she sang in the church
choir, was trained in modern and African dancing, and played such
instruments  as the flute, saxophone, violin and the piano.
She participated in recitals, talent shows, and just put on backyard
shows with her sisters ,brother, and friends.

Her teenage years had her performing in a  Troupe
who put on shows for  elementary school children in Baltimore
She was a fan of the Puerto Rican group Menudo and joined a fan club
that performed at Senior citizen homes and after graduating from high school
joined a modeling troupe that held shows at such spots in Baltimore
as the Vulcan Blazers and the Pimlico social club.   She joined her
big sister on the set of he Moon Man Dance connection and enjoyed
a bit of fame in the Baltimore area.  But that was only the beginning....

She took some time off from music and attended Morgan State
University and majored in Business Administration.  During that time
she  partied at Odell's with Dj. Jerome Hicks, Tony Fashaw and Wayne Davis.
Cignal's was the Thursday night Spot.  She traveled to DC quite a bit as well
to get down at Trax, The Eastside and Chapter 3.
In DC She was introduced to George Clinton from P-Funk and was invited
on stage to be the Kitty Kat in Atomic dog, being the natural
kitty she is she accepted and that was  it.

College no longer held interest for her so she moved to New York city
to try her hand in the industry.  There she played in such spots as Nell's,
Tatou's and the Honeysuckle.  She befriended DJ Romain, Fab 5 Freddy and
Sara Dash and began to learn the ways of the industry as well as the city.
She followed DJ Romain to such spots as Save the Robots, The Limelight and
pretty much wherever he gigged!!!  Party let's see Red Zone, The Roxy,
The Shelter, Sound Factory.

She started her own label with her fiance after the birth of her son
Du/mas records and pressed up her first single Distant Groove.
The song caught on and had her doing a small tour on the east coast.
She befriended DJ Blackman who was playing a the Zanzibar in New Jersey
and opened for The Fugees .  With that she recorded her second single Deep
in You which she gave to DJ Jovonn and DJ Romain for remixes.
DJ Romain was working for Irma records in New York which was a division of
Flying records in New York and the rest is Dance Music history!!!
Deep in You was remixed by Stonebridge and flew up the charts in Italy.

Tanya relocated to Italy with her son and recorded  the video and her
second chart climbing success Lovely Day. She recorded her triple pack album with Joe Smooth of Chicago. She toured the south of Italy with such dance legends as Tony Humphrey, Teddy Douglass, Ron Carollton DR Feelx,  Lenny Fontana
playing such spots as Brindisi, Bari, Rome, too many to name.  The Night wave
in Rimmini, Switzerland,  whew!!!  Toured with Coca Cola, opened for Wu Tang, recorded
3 more singles with Animus records( due to the untimely closing of Flying).

She worked with several other small labels in Italy and toured as a Emcee
with the help from her friend Tanja Monies.  She worked for a summer at the Fura Discoted and returned to Italy after a three year stay to find that her lawyer hid
some her money and her father stole the rest!!! Such is life!

In Baltimore Maryland she did a lot of behind the scene work on the set
of The Wire, write for BET.com and did some casting for the movie Step up
while she still performed in clubs with Dj Quick Silva and Will Rock of Direct Drive
record pool  around the Baltimore area.  She befriended Lane Mccray of Labouche after meeting him at the 13th floor  and toured New York, New Jersey and Canada
for a year.   Following the tour she began hosting parties at Flirt Night Club on Boston street .  Being the Lover of love that she is she found herself involved in another
relationship pregnant and on her way to the chapel to be wedded (not to Lane Mccray ) that didn't quite work out.
During her pregnancy Tanya Louise found myspace.com and begin to put her music and talent there. She participated in the Emergenza festival and  found Ecko Records,  who remixed Deep in you and Lovely day
and Fish and Chips did and interesting vocal dub which has put Tanya Louise back
into the House Music scene.

Currently  she is featured on the soon to be dance success Lovin the Soul with Alex
Millet and Frank Sotille and working on shows in the U.S., Canada
and Europe!!!!!   Performing is what she does best so be sure to see her at a
club , disco or festival near you!!!
