Behind the Scenes of Loop the Loop Designs: Casual, Comfy & Conscious

I recently had the absolute pleasure of joining Loop the Loop Designs for a relaxed, friendly, and utterly stylish photoshoot at The Createry in Nottingham. 

Arranged with co founder, Jen, her warm messages set the tone, and I immediately knew I was going to love their range of clothing and accessories.

The company wanted a natural look for the photos. I had toyed with getting my make up professionally done, but decided against it. I did however get the frizz tamed at my hairdressers before the shoot, and so with so with the sleek hair and neutral make up I was perfectly in line with their comfy‑casual ethos

I arrived ready to bring the clothing to life: slogan t‑shirts, soft sweatshirts, and cosy hoodies, all styled with our own thoughtfully chosen trousers, skirts, and shoe options. 

Sustainability at Its Heart

Loop the Loop Designs is a family‑run brand rooted in Derby and Nottinghamshire, committed to creating mood‑boosting, sustainable fashion that feels good and does good

And they mean it: every t‑shirt, hoodie, and sweatshirt offers softness to wear and peace of mind about its environmental impact.

A series of quick changes followed, with shots both outside along the canal, and in The Createrys purpose built studio and stunningly aesthetic co working room.

Although only wearing the clothing for a short time during the shoot, you could tell that the fabric quality was unmistakable. They were comfy and ideal for work‑from‑home Zoom calls or relaxed weekend vibes.

Styling for Effortless Aesthetic

We curated looks that emphasised cosy versatility: pairing a soft hoodie with wide‑leg trousers for café outings, and styling trainers or sandals depending on mood. Each outfit was designed to show how comfy casual clothes can still feel elevated and mood‑boosting.

Between shots, we chatted about Loop’s history with the husband and wife founders Dan and Jen. their ethos, and how they came to be.

Each piece is created to fit real lives, not runways. We laughed, made friends,  and enjoyed the calm energy of The Createry studio.

And best of all? The cherry on top: I got to choose a piece to keep. I chose the ‘Yes Sir, I can Boogie T-Shirt” which I’ve styled and worn since.

This shoot was a reminder that fashion doesn't’ need to shout to be heard - and that a simple, organic t‑shirt can be both a stylistic choice and a conscious one, and I walked away with gorgeous imagery and fresh style ideas.
