Review: Y.O.U Underwear

Can a woman ever have enough underwear? I doubt it.

It can be a bit tricky though when buying it for someone else. Size, style and fit can all be problematic, and what you like, might not what be what they like or feel comfortable in. It's better to opt for comfort when buying as a gift.

Y.O.U Underwear is a sustainable fashion company with a range of underwear for men and women that enshrine the principles of style, comfort and body positivity. Their underwear is designed to be stylish and comfortable across a broad range of body shapes and sizes and comes in colours black, white, grey and chestnut (mid nude) It also comes beautifully packaged in an organic cotton bag, giving it a final finishing touch and making it the perfect gift.

The great thing is that Y.O.U also operate on a buy-one-give-two model, meaning that they donate two pairs of underwear to vulnerable women and children for every pair sold. This is the perfect option if you’re looking for a gift that gives a little bit more!

Y.O.U underwear is also Fairtrade, Vegan and made from 100% GOTS Certified Organic Cotton by India’s leading ethical and sustainable manufacturer. You can look good, do good and feel good by starting with your underwear.

I was very Kindly sent a set (Bralette and boy shorts) to try. I opted for black, because I'm a black underwear kind of girl, so no reason to change.

The first thing I noticed was of course the bag they come in. That itself is great quality and can be used again to store your underwear or for any purpose you choose really, though keeping underwear together when travelling is probably how I would use it.

The second thing I noticed was how super soft the cotton is. Its soft to the touch and against your skin when you are wearing the bralette. There are no fasteners on the Bralette. The cotton is stretch blend so they fit snuggly. You simply put them over your head to put them on. Once on they are so comfortable, gentle yet but gives support without digging in, which is exactly what I need after my recent operation.

There's no underwire to make them uncomfortable or rigid, they're just so comfy yet somehow manage to give me a great cleavage. The straps are adjustable and can be changed over to wear cross back style but I didn't have to adjust mine at all. I also love the positive message inside. Honestly, this is probably the comfiest bra I can remember wearing and is the closest feeling you can get to not wearing any. Same with the boy shorts, they're so soft, so much so that you don't get the dreaded VPL if you're wearing something tight such as leggings or yoga pants. Don't get me wrong, I know I've talked a lot about comfort, but they do also look great and are flattering.

Y.O.U also produce a range of thongs, mens underwear, and face masks
