There are few things in life more satisfying than when you are really happy with your home,
It should be somewhere you can relax, somewhere comfortable, but still be somewhere you're proud to invite guests. In fact, you could do much worse than trying to make your home more like a hotel, especially given the way in which hotels are designed specifically to be as comfortable and luxurious as possible.
Of course, it’s one thing to want that, but something else to make it happen. It can however be quite an easy thing to do, with all of the luxury and comfort that that brings.
Here are my tips for some of the things that you can do to ensure that your home is as luxurious as you would like.
Decorate Well
One of the main things that you will want to make sure you are doing right is decorating your home to have the same kind of luxury that you would expect from a hotel. so it is one of the first things you should look into for that very reason. Make sure that you know what kind of decor you should be aiming for here, as some will work more successfully than others in general. Many classy, expensive hotels have a dark, modernist approach. This tends to give a feeling of quality to the home. The better you focus on your decor with this kind of thing in mind, the more likely it is that your home will really start to feel like that luxury hotel.
Scents
It’s important to pay attention to more than just the visual, however. When you stay in hotels it soon becomes clear that they are putting a lot of effort into the other senses too, Scent, really completes the feel (I mean we love our perfume don't we ladies) If you want to make sure that the scent in your home is right, then you should consider going for something that smells good but is subtle. Something sumptuous would do the job, as would something that smells natural. As long as you are considering the scent in some manner or other, you should find that it makes a considerable difference to your home. in hiding smells from cooking or pets.
Hotel Beds
Of course, for your home to really feel like a luxury hotel, you need to put a lot of attention and effort specifically into the beds. If you can achieve something similar to a hotel bed then that will absolutely mean that you and any family or guests can feel much more as though you are experiencing the luxury of a hotel at home.
So what can you do towards achieving this? Actually it’s pretty simple. You just need to make sure that you are using hotel-quality bedding for all of your beds in the home. This isn't too difficult, and actually quite affordable. You can, for instance, use hotel quality bed runners from Richard Haworth, as well as finding hotel quality mattresses and other bedding too. All of which will add up to make for that luxurious, comfortable hotel beds feel in your home - and that is something that will make an enormous difference to how you feel about it.
Cleanliness
Something that is always an important element of any hotel, and therefore of your home too, is cleanliness. It is impossible to feel that you are living in luxury if you do not manage to keep your home nice and clean, so you should put as much effort into this as you can in order to make sure that you are getting the best results. The cleaner you keep your home, the more likely it is that you will feel you are living in the lap of luxury, and that you are in a beautiful hotel made just for you.
