World Book Day always reminds me that books aren’t just stories, they’re seasons of your life.

Some books entertain you. Some educate you. And some quietly even change the way you see yourself.

These are a few that have genuinely influenced my mindset over the past year, from confidence and manifestation to spirituality and unapologetically choosing yourself.

If you’re looking for something deeper than a quick read, start here.

Vagabond by Tim Curry

Vagabond - Tim Curry

I adore Tim Curry

I truly wish he hadn't experienced his devastating stroke, allowing us to continue enjoying new acting roles. Fortunately, we have an extensive collection to appreciate, including the legendary Rocky Horror Picture Show.

Tim Curry in the Rocky Horror Picture Show

I own Vagabond as an audiobook on Audible. I would have loved to hear him read it in the distinctive voice we recognise and adore from his films. However, after his stroke, he had to relearn how to speak, so the voice we hear now is unfamiliar but full of determination. Thankfully, he has retained his wit.

Vagabond then isn’t just a memoir, it’s a journey through creativity, theatre, reinvention and resilience. Tim Curry’s life and career remind you that there isn’t one straight path to success. There are pivots, risks, reinventions and moments where you simply decide to keep going.

For anyone in a creative phase (or rebuilding one), this feels reassuring. It’s proof that you can evolve, and still be entirely yourself.

Sacred Seasons by Kirsty Gallagher

Sacred Seasons - Kirsty Gallagher

If you know me, you know I love anything that brings a bit of intention to life.

Sacred Seasons is about living in rhythm with the natural cycles of the year - not rushing, not forcing, not constantly pushing. It encourages reflection, ritual and honouring the season you’re personally in.

It’s not about trying to be different. It’s about being aware.

This is a beautiful book if you’re trying to slow down, reconnect and live more deliberately.

The Let Them Theory by Mel Robbins

Let Them - Mel Robbins

This book is simple. Powerful. Liberating.

The idea behind Let Them is exactly what it sounds like: Let people misunderstand you.

Let them judge. Let them leave. Let them talk.

And in doing so - you reclaim your energy.

For women especially, this message hits differently. So much of our stress comes from managing other people’s reactions. This book reminds you that peace often begins when you stop trying to control the uncontrollable.

The Magic by Rhona Byrne

The Magic - Rhonda Byrne

You can’t talk manifestation without mentioning Rhonda Byrne.

The Magic focuses on gratitude, but not in a surface-level way. It’s structured, daily, practical gratitude. The kind that actually shifts your attention.

Whether you fully subscribe to the Law of Attraction or simply believe mindset matters, this book is a reset button. It trains your brain to look for possibility instead of problems.

And that changes everything. Follow it, and I promise you - things will change

Maximum Conidence by Jack Canfield

Maximum Confidence - Jack Canfield

Confidence isn’t something you’re born with (or is it, and we get it knocked out of us?) Regardless, it is something you can build.

Maximum Confidence breaks down the psychology behind self-belief and gives practical tools to strengthen it. There’s something very grounding about this book, it doesn’t rely on hype. It focuses on internal shifts.

If you’ve ever felt capable but hesitant, this is a strong one to add to your list.

Audible Only:

Manisfest Like A Mother by Francesca Amber

Manifest Like a Mother - Francesca Amber

Modern. Relatable. Direct.

Host of The Law of Attraction Changed My Life podacst, Francesca Amber blends manifestation with real-life practicality. It’s not about vision boards alone, it’s about standards, boundaries, self-worth and backing yourself.

It’s bold, feminine and empowering. Especially if you’re in a phase of building something, whether that’s a business, a new chapter, or simply a stronger version of you.

Reading isn’t just escapism.

It’s expansion.

The right book at the right time can shift your confidence, your perspective, even your direction.

If you’re choosing a World Book Day read this year, maybe don’t just pick something entertaining. Pick something that strengthens you.

Because the most powerful stories are the ones that change the way you show up in your own.

Love Tx
